I've been meaning to say that I think it's really unfair that on my early morning jogs around campus, half the time I can smell Chick-fil-a and the other half I can smell the garbage truck juice.

Too tired to write much else-- BonBon is continuing to wake up at 4 every morning. Blargh......

I'm here!

Good grief!! April since I last wrote, eh? Although I have been busy, things haven't been quite that busy.

We've managed to stay so busy this summer with two weddings, swim lessons, minor league baseball games, and lots of playtime in the air conditioning.

Preschool starts in two weeks, and I'm not quite ready for it! What will I do without my little guys? Budgie will be be in the 4's class, M-Th, 9-1, and BonBon will be in the 2's, T & Th, 9-1. I'm sure Budgie will do great, but I'm very worried about BonBon's biting habit. I know he's cutting his 2nd year molars, so hopefully things will calm down again after those break through. And he's getting more verbal every day, so that can only help, too. Budgie never bit, so this is all new for me...

I learned recently that if we're going to try sending Budgie to private school, we must apply this Fall, so I need to schedule a visit at the local day school and Catholic school. C's mother has offered to pay for private school, but I'm not sure she how she really feels about paying the day school's tuition. She wasn't very positive when I mentioned the Catholic school, and it only goes through middle school anyway.

She's as rich as Roosevelt, so that's not the issue-- she can just be weird about things (e.g., changes her mind at the last minute, or changes her mind for no apparent reason). And I wouldn't want to get him started there if he couldn't continue going or if BonBon wouldn't be able to attend, too. Oh, well. I'll apply and take it from there, I guess.

I'm too tired to do an "about me" post and, besides, nap time is almost over, so time is precious. So I'll just jump right in instead. I have kept a livejournal for, gosh, at least 7 years, but I'm ready for something a little more anonymous.

Today, to do: still waiting for a call back from the Montessori coordinator at the Pre-K that Budgie was accepted into last week. I'm still not sure that it would be the best choice for him, no matter how great Montessori as a philosophy is in general.

Done: Spoke with the travel agent about our upcoming trip to France this summer. Starting to get excited, despite worries about money and such. Still need to renew our passports...

Budgie is really fighting "rest time" these days-- he just now came downstairs because he needed to tell me something. Specifically, he wants to play with his trains after rest time. As if he was actually going to have a rest time...
